It is an honor and a privilege to serve New Life in Worship and in Youth Ministry. I have been involved in full time ministry for over 15 years. God called me first to ministry when I was 15 years old. I finished High School in Arlington, Washington and then pursued ministry. I attended Arlington Master’s Commission for 3 years, and during my third year I came to Alaska for an internship at Peninsula Christian Center in Soldotna. In 2002 I started full time as Youth Pastor at Peninsula Christian Center, and was on staff for 8 years. I have been attending New Life since 2010, and began volunteering with them in ministry in 2011. I have been on full time staff since July of 2013 and looking forward to what God has planned for New Life
Regina is an Arkansas native, just wait until she answers the phone when you call - there will be no doubt. She is grandma to three granddaughters which is what coaxed her north. Regina has a great gift for hospitality as well as keeping the rest of the church staff organized and the communications flowing.
Scott and Rachel joined the Kenai New Life ministry team in early 2019.
They were married in 1993 and moved to Alaska that same year after serving in the U.S. Army where they first met.
This began a remarkable season for the Phillips with Scott coming to faith in Christ through the ministry of Wasilla Assembly of God church (now Summit Worship Center). Their time in Wasilla set the trajectory for their marriage and family as the Lord began a deep work in their hearts. It was at this same time that Scott began to sense a calling to the ministry.
Over the last 20 years Scott and Rachel have been involved in discipleship, working with Teen Challenge, Churches and Missions Organizations to serve in the advance of the life giving message of the Gospel.
The Phillips have 5 children and 1 grandchild. Raymond, Kennedy, Scottlyn, Brooklyn, and Korbyn and granddaughter Madeline Grace.
